"We couldn't have been happier than the day we brought Walter home. He was calm and sweet. Slowly he turned into a nightmare. Walter was dog aggressive and couldn't get along with my son (the specific person we got him for!). Every time Walter saw a another dog (on a walk, in a picture, on TV or even his own reflection) he became vicious. I went through 5 trainers and he just got worse. Every trainer said to keep him away from other dogs...that didn't seem like a solution to me! I found Leonard's card at our local pet store...thankfully! Leonard was the best thing to happen to Walter. He, and his pack of dogs, changed him - he went back to being the sweet, calm dog we brought home months before. Something else happened though...I changed. Leonard changed me in every way. I learned ways to improve my relationship with my husband and most importantly, I learned how I was affecting my son and daughter. I learned ways to not only keep Walter calm and feeling safe but how to make my family calm and secure. Training Walter with Leonard proved to be one of the most eye opening experiences I've ever had. I would recommend Leonard, whole heartily to anyone!!"

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Two dogs smelling each other
I took my dog, Token, to Leonard as a last resort. He was very dog and people aggressive. He has 2 bites on record and if he got another one he would have to be put down. I was told by every other trainer that he should be put down. My kids love their dog and we were not willing to give up hope.
When I brought Token to see Leonard he was growling at him through the car window and I was afraid to let him out cause I know he wanted to bite Leonard. Leonard was calm and reassuring and told me to let my dog out. Token really wanted to rip Leonard apart.
The first time I went to visit for my own training, Token was walking calmly next to Leonard with no leash or muzzle. Leonard spent several hours with me and my daughter teaching us how to work with Token. The second time I was there, Token was lying with Leonard on the grass. He was also playing with all the other dogs. Within a few weeks Token was ready to go home.
Token's been home for a week now and he is a completely different dog. I can walk him without a muzzle and he doesn't try to bite or growl at other dogs or people. Leonard taught us how to introduce our friends to Token and he is doing great! Leonard changed our lives and saved Tokens

Thank you Leonard Ludovico for all your help,.

I am the blue healer.

Whatever the behavioral issues with a dog, Leonard works tirelessly ,
adeptly and intuitively to assess and then re-align it's Behavior
with other animals and humans. He essentially "cleans the slate" and
then reconditions the behavioral responses of the dog. Throughout the
process, the dog does not lose it's personality or spirit.  Of at
least equal importance , he continues the process by teaching the
owners how to sustain the balance and calm he has achieved with the
animal.  The teaching is experiential- not something one can learn
from a book or even a phone conversation. We greatly honor the work he
has done with us and our dog as it has restored the joy of living with
our canine friend . We highly recommend him to anyone having any sort
of behavioral complaints with their dog.

Thank you Leonard Ludovico for all your help,

Hi Leonard,

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for helping our
Black Lab "Cash" get over his issue with food aggression. When everyone else told us to get rid of him, you were are last hope and you were a great help. We used to fear even walking by him when he was eating. We were afraid for guests and our family alike. Once we got him back, he was a changed dog. We can even play with him while he is eating now and he is officially part of the family. We will recommend you to any and all of our friends that are dealing with issues with their dogs.

Thanks Again Leonard,

Hi Leonard,

Lou Lou Belle is a Havanese/Tibetan Terrier mix.  She is now 4 years old.  I was told by her rescuer that she had been abused.

For the two years I've had her, Lou Lou Belle and she's bitten me several times, a friend of  mine 3 times and the last straw was when she bit the 8 year old daughter of my friend.

Three other trainers had tried to fix Lou Lou Belle's fear/aggression issues, but they did not solve her problem.  Part of the reason was because I was not consistent with what they told me to do with her and the biggest part of the problem was that I was treating Lou Lou Belle as my child and not as a dog. Lou Lou Belle was controlling me as opposed to me controlling her.  She had become a spoiled child.

I was desperate.  I looked at Cesar Milan's website but there is no way to even contact him.  The next one I saw was Dominant Dogs, Leonard Ludovico's website.  I asked my friend to contact him and my friend did and called me and said he thought Leonard was the person to help me with Lou Lou Belle.  I spoke with Leonard and I too felt the same way.  He was very direct and honest and he told me he was certain he would be able to rehabilitate Lou Lou Belle. But at that moment, I was willing to go through it because I love Lou Lou Belle very much.

We took Lou Lou Belle to Leonard's boot camp and when we arrived, it took Leonard about 15 minutes before he calmed Lou Lou Belle down.  For all that time, she tried to bite him, but he demonstrated that he knew what to do and right away he took control of her.  We were amazed!  He gave me some training that day too.  With tears in my eyes, we left Lou Lou Belle with Leonard with confidence that she was going to be a different dog.

I called Leonard from time to time to check up on Lou Lou Belle and he said she was improving.  He posted pictures of her in his facebook which helped me a lot.

I left Lou Lou Belle with him for almost a month.  I saw her for the first time last Saturday, November 26, and what a change.  I met Leonard and Lou Lou Belle at Lowe's where we walked around and he trained me to be mindful at all times about the people and what to watch out for.  The most important thing he thought me that day was to never put Lou Lou Belle in a predicament where she would have to make the decision.  She needs to feel confident that I am in control.

I went back to Leonard's place Sunday and Monday for more training.  He is very good at what he does and very patient.  He not only helped Lou Lou Belle but also helped me gain more confidence.  Lou Lou Belle is a different dog and I know for sure that this would not have happened if not for Leonard.  I thank God for Leonard because if not for him, I would always be fearful and I would not be able to have a normal relationship with Lou Lou Belle.

I picked up Lou Lou Belle yesterday, Tuesday, and brought her directly to the groomer, who noticed the change in Lou Lou Belle.  Before when I used to take her to to him to be groomed, she would try to bite him.  He said yesterday, she did not do that and was very calm and submissive the whole time.  When I took her home, everyone could feel the difference in Lou Lou Belle.

Leonard has been following up to see how it's been so far.  For the next 3 weeks we will be in touch with Leonard and will be seeing him next week so he can evaluate how things are and my training will be ongoing.  I believe that I really need the training more than Lou Lou Belle so that I will be in control and not Lou Lou Belle and Leonard is good at that too.

THANK YOU LEONARD FOR GIVING ME PEACE!

 a picture of a dog
To start off, Leonard Ludivico is a life saver.

I rescued Tank, the pit bull when he was about 3 months old. He was a great dog and a faithful companion and loved playing with other dogs until his first birthday. Then I started to see problems; major problems with aggression. Before I knew it, he had bitten two people and wanted to attack every dog in sight. I had to do something and fast. I started taking him to training classes and needless to say he gained 7 lbs due to treats and still wouldn’t listen to me. I needed an alternative and felt like I was running out of time. I happened to come across Leonard’s Dominant Dogs website and was sold. I gave him a call and the rest is history. No, I’m kidding, it was not as easy as that. We went for our first visit and within minutes he was listening to every word Leonard said, and walking calmly off leash. Tank was already a new dog, the whole family could see it. We decided it was best that Tank go to Doggie Boot Camp for a few weeks. We came back for our part of the training two weeks later and Tank was playing with the other dogs, calm, and not trying to bite any of them. Tank even got to meet one of Leonard’s dogs he had never meet before, a little miniature pincher and was a respectful and very well behaved dog. Before we left for the day, Tank met the dog he was going to help rehabilitate and did not growl, bark, or try and eat him. A couple days later Leonard invited me to take Tank on an off leash hike for more training and to meet more dogs. This was an unforgettable experience. Once I calmed down, Tank was walking behind me following my every move. Before I knew it, the next day, we went for another walk with tons of dogsbarking behind fences. Tank performed swimmingly.

Within a few days, at my final training, Tank was able to come home. Tank settled in nicely. The atmosphere at home is calm and comfortable. Tank is a whole new, very enjoyable dog.

It has now been a month and Tank is doing great. I have learned a lot about a dog's body language as well as mine and what that communicates. Tank as well as any other dog needs consistency, stability, clarity, and leadership. It takes a lot of work on my part but I believe that any work is well worth the well behaved dog I have now. I highly recommend Leonard to any one that has a dog with behavioral problems and/or aggression. I am very grateful Tank's life was saved.

I firmly believe you get the dog you need. I have learned a lot about my own life and I am sure it was not a coincidence.

Thank you for all your help,

Tiernan/Milo Testimonial

I got my
dachshund, Milo, at three months old. He was always extremely shy, but very friendly. Shortly after he turned one, he started showing signs of aggression and lack of respect. He never listened to me, barked constantly, and even urinated around the house. He would attack anyone who entered the home, and tried to attack every dog we encountered on our walks. It was so bad, when I tried to stop him from attacking, he would try to bite me.

I knew I needed help from someone that really knew what they were doing with aggressive dogs. After searching the web for a professional trainer, I came across Leonard’s website. I worked with Leonard at my home, and also at various park locations with other dogs. After a few training sessions, Milo showed great improvement.

Halfway into our training, I moved into a new home. After the move, I encountered a new problem that I did not have before. Milo was not adjusting to the new home, and now had separation anxiety. He would scream when I tried to leave the house, and the noise was causing problems for my neighbors.

Fearing I would be evicted, I called Leonard, and he helped me fix Milo’s anxiety overnight! Thankfully, I was not evicted, and my life has been smooth sailing ever since. Now my little dachshund listens to me, is a happier dog, and doesn’t bark in the home!

Thank you Leonard! I am so grateful for all your help!

 two beautiful dogs
I found Leonard when I was desperate to "save" my dog, Bud. He was a rescue and came to our home at about 4 months of age. It only took a very short time to realize he had severe separation anxiety. We worked with several trainers and got some improvement, but not a lot. It turns out that anxiety grew into fear (something I later learned).
Bud had an injured foot one day and I tried to examine it; he let me examine it enough to see that nothing was in his paw but that was it and then he let know with a warning (growl) he didn't want it looked at so I backed off. Unfortunately, my husband didn't heed the warning and grabbed his foot; needless to say, he got bit. My husband was so angry he told me I had to get rid of the dog. I was desperate and began searching for some help. I found Leonard.
Leonard came to our home for our initial visit and in less than 10 minutes, without a single word or command to our dog nor a treat, it was clear to both me and my husband that Leonard knew what he was doing. Leonard dubbed me the "cookie lady" because I used treats to get Bud to mind me. I thought I was in control and doing a pretty good job, as long as I had a treat of course.
Leonard pointed out cues from our dog, how he was fearful, afraid of his own skin pretty much. We decided to hire Leonard to help us rehabilitate our dog. In the process, I learned that it was really us that needed the rehabilitation.
We left Bud with Leonard and when we returned about 10 days later, I couldn't believe what I saw. The first thing was that Bud came out of Leonard's house with his pack OF DOGS -- Bud was not socialized with other dogs before Leonard. He was wagging his tail and interacting like a dog with OTHER DOGS! How could this be?! I had just accepted the fact that Bud would be one of those dogs that didn't mingle with other dogs. I had tears in my eyes as I realized my dog was now going to be able to have a normal "dog" life, a happy life.
The other huge change I noticed in my dog was that he was CALM - his body language was different, his interaction with Leonard and then us was different, it was simply amazing. I can't express the joy this gave me and still does to this day. Leonard helped my dog address his fear and thus removed the need for any agression.
Leonard taught me a lot, about the subtleties of a dog's body language (which they use to communicate with us), how they need and require a strong pack leader, about consistency with discipline and the time and place for affection.
My friends of many years knew Bud "before Leonard" and "after Leonard" and they constantly comment on the difference in him, that he is truly a great dog, well behaved and loving. Of couse, like any proud parent, I agree.
I have also learned that it takes work (on my part) to have a happy, calm dog. That he needs me to provide stability and leadership in his life. The joy my dog has given me for the past 10 years is well worth any work I need to do. And these lessons I have learned from Leonard seem to fit into other areas of my life, not a coincidence I'm sure.
As I write this I am reminded I need to thank Leonard again for giving me such a wonderful friend and dog.

  To ladies on dirtbike
Leonard came highly recommended to us by friends with a boxer, a pug and a one-eyed Chihuahua, and had every confidence that Leonard would shape up our little guy Clyde, who – when left alone would chew and scratch the front door trying to get out when we left, and when out on walks would show major dog aggression. Clyde is a 9 lb terrier mix who was doing big dog damage – especially to himself. We suddenly found ourselves in a situation where we could never leave him for fear of him destroying the house – not to mention his teeth! Things only got worse when our other dog, Frankie, passed. That’s when we decided it was time to get help.

We honestly didn’t know what to think when we drove up to Leonard’s ranch that first day. I assumed that we would have some sort of consultation, a human-to-human dialogue about the issues our dog was having with a logical plan of action to follow-up. I could not have been more wrong or less pleased. As soon as we got out of the car with Clyde the work started. With-in a couple of hours we got a full dose of the Dominant Dog in action. He was able to pin point most of the problems immediately – and honestly those problems were behaviors that were more our issues then Clyde’s. Clyde started to respond to commands almost immediately by just focusing on simple adjustments to our body language and behavior when we engaged with him. It was then, in that first meeting that I realized that transformation was occurring not only for Clyde, but for us too.

It was clear that Clyde needed some serious Leonard love, so we agreed to leave him at the ranch until he was ready to come home. After 3 weeks, Clyde came back a confident and strong dog, who was ready to assimilate back into our home… and Leonard was there for us every step of the way. Leonard’s approach is sharp and on point – but done with love and care. He is most concerned for the animal’s health, happiness and safety. I believe that this happens when we human’s start to recognize the subtle signs that our animals give us when they are stressed or happy, angry or sick and how to respond to those signals appropriately. It takes a little time, but the results are worth it.

We are forever grateful for Leonard’s commitment and support with Clyde.
With Love, Nicole and Rose

Ann And her dog
Leonard Ludovico has helped my Golden Retriever puppy Paele to overcome her food, toy and dog aggression. He has taught her to relax and work beautifully on and off leash and respond to all his commands. She has acted confidently while learning and is now comfortable and gentle with other dogs. She is very responsive and willing to do what is asked of her almost effortlessly. Leonard’s training methods for both dog and owner have formed a safe and lasting understanding. Leonard’s patience in showing me how to communicate better with my dog has helped immensely. I know I will have a successful experience as I go forward with Paele knowing I am teaching her the right way as well as myself and family. His training will prove to be a lifelong partnership for me and Paele, and Leonard of course!

Buster Dog
In December, 2005, we adopted Buster, a very cute and adorable 3 month-old Labradoodle puppy. Within a few months time, Buster was taking charge of our household wreaking havoc. Examples of his unruly behavior included nipping and barking at us, demonstrating aggression towards other dogs and people, stealing valuable objects and holding them hostage to manipulate play time, and generally ignoring any attempts to correct his bad behavior. We were in a difficult dilemma. We loved the dog; however he was consuming our lives. In short, we needed help!

In our despair, we began searching for the ultimate remedy. That’s when we found Leonard Ludovico! At first we were apprehensive, but after meeting with Leonard, we were confident that Buster would be in good hands. Within a matter of weeks, Leonard had completely transformed Buster from a recalcitrant defiant puppy into a well-balanced family pet.
Leonard’s approach to correcting a dog’s behavior is clearly the best option for anyone whose pet is out of control. With our demanding careers it was not feasible for us to spend time at the local pet store teaching Buster stupid pet tricks. What we needed was a well-disciplined pet and Leonard met this need.

By being a career law enforcement leader with nearly 30 years of experience, it is a rare occasion where I would provide a testimonial of this nature. However, my wife and I feel compelled to share our positive experience with Leonard so that others in a similar situation can benefit as we did.

Thank you Leonard Ludovico for all your help,

Waya is the front dog on the right side. He is a Timberwolf and a Arctic Wolf mix

Picture with Leonard and dogs

Taking our Waya to Leonard for training has changed our lives. We hadn't socialized Waya as we had another dog and the two of them kept each other happy. Then, unexpectedly, we lost his mate. When I first took Waya to Leonard, he immediately took Waya into a yard with his two dogs. At the time I was sure there would be a fight, but all dogs respected each other and since Leonard had complete control of his dogs, the only uncertain was Waya. I could see Waya was on high alert but listening to and trusting Leonard. By the time we came back for a visit Waya was a completely different animal, mingling with the others during free time, balanced and happy, paying attention when being asked. Leonard told me in no time Waya was helping new dogs to be balanced. I was shocked. Once home Waya has continued to improve and is now one of the most popular dogs in Sherman Oaks/Encino area. He loves leashless walks at Runyon and the dog beach in Long Beach. Now if he doesn't get out with other dogs in a day, I get a look from him as if to say, "hey, you expect me to stay cooped up in this house all day?"

Shari and Spencer
I met Leonard having just arrived home from a 12-hour flight from Ireland. My spouse was so desperate to get help for our 6 month old-very troubled cocker spaniel named Spenser, that our emergency dog appointment was scheduled for the second I got home. Spenser was disconnected, hyper and insecure, as well as dog aggressive (which I rationalized as just playing), food and toy aggressive. I had been to two other dog trainers and nothing seemed to work--clickers, treats, choke collars. As Leonard would say, "Dog training doesn't work." The moment I was out of Spenser's sight, he would whine and bark incessantly. I had already been given two warning notices from my co-op association that if I didn't do something about the dog, I would be voted out of the building.

I sat and watched while Leonard worked with Spenser. It was like watching a dance. One I did not have the time or skills to do myself.
I asked Leonard to take the dog home with him for sleep-over camp. I sobbed as he put my soft golden puppy on his shoulder and walked away.

Leonard kept Spenser with him for 3 weeks, 24-hours a day and took him everywhere with him-- Home Depot, family bar-b-ques, dog beaches and parks. He had the dog off-leash the second day! Spenser was never off leash with me before. It was well worth the price. He fixed the dog, I never had another complaint where I live. The dog is perfect off leash, and in the process, Leonard changed my life in many positive and wonderful ways. So to Leonard I say, you are a blessed and giving man who has done so much to fill and ease my way. I am grateful beyond measure and love you with all my heart.

My name is Brandi and I am the second dog on the right.

We adopted an orphaned 5 year old German Shepherd dog in March, 2010.  She was very subdued at the time and seemed so easy to handle.  We then discovered she had pneumonia and after having her treated and getting her healthy, it became apparent that she was not a quiet, easy-going dog.  She is quite strong and was often difficult to walk on leash.  We trained her to respond to some basic commands but she had become aggressive with dogs and people, and often tried to run away.  She didn’t respect us or other people caring for her.  We started to seriously question whether we would be able to keep her. We had recommendations from groomers, pet sitters, and rescue organizations for trainers but after we came upon Leonard Ludovico’s website we had the feeling he would be the only solution for Brandy and us.  We waited almost 2 months for an opening in his schedule and are very glad we did. He has an amazing intuitive awareness of people and dogs.

Leonard spent a great deal of time with Brandy while she stayed at sleep-over camp with him for over 4 weeks.  We joined Brandy there at various times to work with her and Leonard.  It was boot camp for us, the humans.  The work was not always easy or for the faint of heart, but it made a great difference in our life with our dog.
Leonard gave us the tools we needed to be able to continue working with Brandy after we brought her home. We will continue to follow up with him to fine tune our relationship with her.  We are convinced she wouldn’t be with us today without the work he has done with her and with us. We highly recommend Leonard Ludovico.

My name is Roxy and I am on the far right.

"I wanted to take a moment to share how thankful we are to have been introduced to Leonard. We have a 4 year old
American Eskimo that we had unknowingly given way too much freedom to which had created a "dominant dog".  This dominance finally manifested itself into aggression towards our 2 year old child. We either needed to get our dog in order or she wasn't going to be with us much longer. Fortunately a friend of ours provided us with Leonard's contact information and we called immediately. Leonard spent time with us on the phone to make some immediate changes until he could visit our house in the following days. We had two meetings with Leonard working with Roxy and us and then we let him take Roxy for a month long training. While we really missed having her around, we knew she was in good hands. Leonard's approach is all about establishing respect between the dog and owner. It was clear that Roxy didn't have any respect for us. That has all changed in the time since we started this a few months ago and the dog that we received back is 180 degree turnaround from before. She is wonderful off leash and the commands that Leonard has instilled with Roxy and us will stay with her forever so we can control her in any situation.

I thank you
Leonard Ludovico for spending the time with us and I look forward to staying in touch with you over the years.

Thank you - Brian, Jen, Roxy and Cooper"
Chris Dog

I found a stray German Shepherd last December who was 95% sweet, kind and lovable; however, over the course of a couple of months, he became more and more aggressive toward other dogs.

I wanted to keep this dog, but an aggressive dog was not something I was interested in.  I contacted Leonard Ludovico and within 10 minutes of our first meeting, Leonard had my large, aggressive german shepherd walking around with his pack of eight dogs.  It was truly unbelievable!!  I was a sold customer!!

I enrolled my dog in "Leonard's "doggy sleepover Boot Camp" and once the training was complete, I had a dog that was no longer aggressive.  Leonard worked directly with me and my dog for many, many hours and was always available if I had questions at home.  During our one-on-one sessions, I learned a lot about dog training and how I was contributing to the aggression problems.

Leonard truly has a gift with dogs and I highly recommend him to anyone interested in fixing dominance problems with dogs and/or learning more about dog body language.

Leonard is the expert on body language. His DVD is wonderful and I really recommend it. It will help you understand your dog's body language. Leonard will also show you how to have an overall better relationship with your dog.

April 26, 2011

Our dog, Sophie, is a 4-year-old lab that has aggression issues towards other dogs when being walked on a leash. We got her when she was almost 2 years old and for the past year and a half we had been trying to work out her issues on our own. When it came to the point of almost deciding to get her a new home or worse, I found Leonard’s web site and we decided to get some professional help, we are very happy that we made that decision. After meeting with Leonard we decide to do the eight-hour training.

We found that the facility is quite comfortable for our dog and us. We also discovered that much of the problem was in the way we were relating to Sophie. On the first day of training we learned how to get our dog to behave and respect our space when in the house. She was also walking through a park with a pack of dogs on leash and not getting into her “aggression” mode. Learning how to read dog body language is a great help in correcting Sophie before she has a chance to get herself into trouble and identifying a potential problem with other dogs. Learning the proper methods of correcting her has enabled us to communicate without confusing our dog and making the aggression issues worse.

Leonard also showed us how to train her to stay and come on command; we are still working on this but making a lot of progress. Mary was always uncomfortable walking Sophie but now feels she has the skills to keep control of her. We feel Leonard gave us a bit above and beyond and we do appreciate the extra effort. Our exercise time has become more pleasurable and we look forward to our next road trip with the special member of our family, our Sophie. We are retired and do spend a lot of the year RVing about the United States and Sophie is a wonderful companion.

Wyatt Dog

My name is Wyatt. And I am on the far left.

In April 15, 2010, our dog Wyatt had become leash aggressive towards other dogs. We had hired another trainer to help us but it didn't work at all!

About 5 months ago I started looking online for a bootcamp for Wyatt.  I looked at so many, some of them more than once, but none of them seemed right.  I was getting discouraged, then I came across the
Dominant Dogs website.  I read everything on the website.

After speaking with
Leonard Ludovico I knew this was IT!! We met with Leonard and within 10 minutes he had our dog around his dogs without even a bark!! We were so impressed, we decided to leave Wyatt with him.

Leonard is amazing, he is so knowledgable about dogs and animals in general.  He really cares about the dogs and the people he works with.  He wouldn't send Wyatt home until he felt he was ready and we were ready.

Leonard will spend as much training time with you as you are willing to put in.  When we brought Wyatt home we couldn't believe the changes in him.  I am so happy, I can actually walk Wyatt now, all 150-lbs of him, without worrying whether or not I will be able to control him.

I am no longer concerned about him getting out the front door.  Even after Wyatt was home
Leonard checked in with us to answer questions and we went back for follow up visits to reinforce what we learned.  I don't have the words to thank Leonard for the positive changes he brought out in Wyatt and in us! This was an awesome experience and worth every penny!

Thank you Leonard Ludovico, you're the best!!

I am the French bulldog second on the left.

We decided to take our 5 ½ year old French bulldog to Leonard Ludovico after years of trying to stop his aggressive behavior towards our other dog by ourselves. The last straw for us was when he attacked our other dog and caused him to have 8 stitches.
Before taking Norman (our frenchie) to Leonard we were constantly on edge because he would attack our other dog for no reason what so ever.
Not only did Leonard spend a month rehabilitating our dog he also spent 8 hours working with us, teaching us to read our dogs body language so that we were able to stop a fight before it ever started.
Norman has been home for 3 weeks now. He used to attack our other dog several times a week and I am so happy to report that we have not had one issue since he has been home. We work with him every day on the commands that Leonard taught us and now our entire home has a much calmer feel to it.
We highly recommend Leonard to anyone that is having behavioral issues with their dog. If you decide to work with Leonard make sure that you go into it with an open mind and a willingness to change some of your own behaviors. We can’t expect our dogs to change if we are not willing too.
It was the best money that we ever spent! Leonard we can’t thank you enough for your help.
Sincerely,

Thank you Leonard Ludovico for all your help, 5-2 -2011

We got our dog Bela at 5 weeks old and she started showing signs of fear aggression by 4 months. We took her to several dog trainers but her problem continued to get worse. For years, she was fear aggressive with people, growling at any adult that we brought into our home, interacted with during a walk or that she saw from the car. Not only was she aggressive during direct interactions with people, she would run along the fence line of our backyard, barking and growling at anyone who walked by. This created a very stressful situation in our neighborhood. Our neighbors reported her to Animal Control and we were warned that if she ever got out of our yard, animal control would have her put down. In December, she bit our neighbor on the face and that was the last straw. Though she was great with our kids, we either had to say goodbye or find someone able to help us with what we viewed was “the impossible”… someone who could change Bela’s behavior. A friend and colleague told me that if I wanted to change Bela’s behavior, she had the person for me, Leonard Ludovico. After having worked with many dog trainers already, I was very skeptical that anyone could “fix” Bela or change the way that I interacted with her after having so many negative experiences, but I gave Leonard a chance. Quite frankly, Leonard saved Bela’s life and changed our very frustrating home environment to one of peace and joy with our beloved dog. Leonard took Bela for several weeks. I visited regularly, spending About 8 hours with Leonard learning about body language, how to read various situations between dogs and between dogs and people, and perhaps most importantly for me, what constitutes a pack leader from a dog’s perspective. I had previously thought that if I loved Bela enough, she would do what I asked. Not true. Leonard not only rehabilitated Bela, but he managed to change me. Now, I not only have established a trusting relationship with Bela, but I appreciate that she is a “protection” dog and I work with that to maintain a happy household. Thank you Leonard! I am now applying what I have learned to all of my other relationships be that with dogs or people.
